1942-46 Military service in Africa and Italy
1947-48 directs Copley Galleries in Beverly Hills, CA (with John Ployardt)
1947 begins to paint
1951 moves to Paris
1963 returns to New York City
1992 moves to Key West, Florida where he lives until his death in May 1996
